Chocolate Cake Mix
Homemade Chocolate Cake Mix was a LOT easier than I anticipated. You can literally make just about anything you want as long as you have simple pantry staples. I feel like we do not have many traditions within my immediate family, so I really wanted to start making my kids their birthday cakes. Hadley wanted a chocolate cake with white icing (Recipe for that soon)! I'm not ashamed to admit that I grew up on cakes made from store-bought cake mix, and they were some of the first things I learned how to bake on my own (even though I...
Homemade Oreos- Very in my DIY era
After two months out of the brick-and-mortar working mom life, and literally buying everything out of convenience ( Preboiled eggs?) You can watch me do that here on my video of me making this salsa for the kids! Now, In the in the south this is "Salsa", but when you tell people in Ohio about it they say "OHHH, Pico De Gallo". Now, I will also say this the...
One Pot Queso Chicken and Rice
Tonight was open house at the Elementary school, and you know what that means - chaos galore! With our back to school bed time routine looming, I didn't have much time to whip up a huge meal. That's when I remembered I had bought the stuff to try Queso Chicken Rice. So, I decided to break it out for a quick and delicious weeknight dinner that would satisfy my large family. Here is what you need to grab at the store: Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts – Cut the chicken into small pieces (like small bite-sized, about 1-inch or less) so it cooks...
