Homecoming Proposal Ideas
Well, it finally happened—my boy is officially a FRESHMAN! He came home and announced that he wanted to make a ‘Homecoming proposal’ for his friend. 🥹 It was the sweetest thing—he even sketched out a blueprint of how he wanted his sign to look. Only catch? He needed it that night!
Luckily, I’ve been diving into homecoming proposal ideas the past few weeks, so I figured I’d share some of my favorite last-minute options with you all!
I really encourage you not to do the whole thing for your son—because the thought behind it is what matters most! The first thing Troy did was sketch me a little ‘blueprint.’ I simply pulled up Canva and recreated it while he stood over my shoulder with his drawing in hand. There are endless ideas out there, but since his date loves Drake, Troy wanted the whole thing to be Drake-themed. My little ‘mom touch’ was adding a Shopify scan code for the song—such a great idea if I do say so myself!

If you are designing your own
1) Decide on size- We found that the 16x20 board was best at Walgreens Photo!
2) Adjust the size on Canva to fit your sign!
3) Download and upload to Walgreens! First, Go to Walgreens Photo > Posters > Design your own>Add to cart for same day pick up but LOOK FOR COUPONS!
4) Add some flowers or candy, and you have a Homecoming Proposal ;-)

- Things you can add to it if you want to be fancy- Lights! Tape some lights!
- Bring a little gift- If you have a few days I would recommend getting music note tissue paper with flowers!
