I always start my tutorial with a Supplies list so you can gather your materials, or purchase them to get started!
1) A PLUSH light colored blanket-- In Cream, White, Or light grey. MUST be a light color and 100 percent poly to sublimate nicely for this project! If you are looking to do a baby blanket, these are the exact ones I use. Click here for the Amazon link.
Photographed is my favorite one for adult sized blankets!
I have also done the photo blocks in the past with blankets like this
2) Any Sublimation paper is fine, but I like the 13x19 because you can get a larger image on the blankets! However, you will need the epson 15000 to do images that big without taping them together.
3) A lint roller- Seriously. These can make or break your image! If you do a lot of sublimating just get a set and have them for everything!
4) Heat tape!
5) Heat Press
Now, For The how to! You can read or Check out my tik tok I made!
Set your heat to 375-390 for sublimation
Decide where you want your image, and lay that portion of the blanket over the heat press.
This is where your lint roller comes in! Lint roll it to Walmart and back, then, Make sure all of the fibers are laying the same way for a nice print. Tape your image down at each corner print side down.
You cannot skip the heat tape part! Here is the heat tape I use everyday! Click here for that Amazon link! You can also get the link for the dispenser (SO USEFUL) when you click here!
Lay butcher paper over that to protect your heat press, and press for 1 minute! If you do a lot of sublimation, get this roll of butcher paper. This is the exact stuff i use everyday!
Remove your transfer and your image will be placed NICELY on there!!
